We are seeing the continuation of tactics that surfaced in the 1960′s and have been honed by progressives in the intervening years to a razor’s edge. The idea is to intimidate American citizens into silence.
These tactics were once reserved for street-level supporters of left wing agitators and politicians, now they are being openly used by an elected administration from the White House itself. The denigrating descriptions of political opponents and concerned citizens by the President and Democrat leadership in Washington is shocking and appalling. When the White House called this week for Americans to turn-in fellow citizens for espousing heartfelt concerns about the healthcare plans under debate in Congress we have reached a crisis situation.
The success of evil does depend upon good men doing nothing. The time has come for American citizens of all political leanings to denounce this perversion of power by President Obama and his administration. As citizens we must reject this attempt to silence political free speech and stand-up to defend our Constitution.
